You're probably thinking, "well, who on earth would think this needs a response - we all know this is sinful, right?"
RIGHT??
I am reposting this article from last year because sadly there are some who claim to be evangelical Christians who are engaging in and advocating for polygamy.
Yes. You read that right. A seminary professor was caught in a polygamous relationship last year and I have personally read a pastor advocate polygamy because HE is in a polygamous relationship. You won't believe how he tries to argue away "the husband of one wife" requirement for a pastor. You can see the church website here - note there is nothing to indicate this deep aberration from the Christian faith anywhere on the website. Yet I have seen the pastor posting pictures of his two "wives" and forcefully advocating for polygamy.
It's good for us to think through these things occasionally and with the noise I've heard on the very edges Christian culture it's probably wise for us to get inoculated again against this sin.
