Dr. Al Mohler does a good job of summarizing where the current trajectory of the culture is after the Dobbs decision which reversed Roe vs. Wade. Pro-life advocates have seen a number of setbacks, including the Republican Party removing national abortion legislation from its platform, and several states have abortion on the ballot this fall. (The Democratic Party has moved beyond silence on the issue and advocates for abortion at most stages of pregnancy and uncontrolled access to abortion pills). Based on polling before Dobbs, not many people saw this crucial issue playing out this way. Dr. Mohler gives some insight into how public opinion shifted so quickly.
I am so grateful for the clear pro-life laws that have been passed in our state. But we must be vigilant against a creeping acceptance of this evil and we must also remember that abortion is still legal up to six weeks into the pregnancy in SC. Let's pray for the people of these states to do the right thing and honor life as a gift from God.
