Pastor Matt leads a powerful discussion on why The Incarnation (Jesus’ birth, or coming in the flesh) was so important for our salvation. The bold statement is, Jesus had to come in the flesh to save our flesh. God became man so that, 1) He could destroy our enemies, Death and Satan. 2) Deliver us from our fear of death. 3) To display God’s mercy. God is righteous, and sin must be atoned for. In God’s mercy Jesus made the atonement for all sin. By God’s grace alone, we are saved. Without The Incarnation ( The Birth) there could have been no death and resurrection.
