Habakkuk 1:1-11-I've got questions-October 20, 2024am
Pastor Matt begins a new teaching in the Book of Habakkuk. Habakkuk saw many things that were very wrong in his society and questioned why God wasn’t stepping in. Sometimes we might wonder the exact same things in our society today. God responded that He is already working on the issues, outside of Habakkuk's expectations and plans and for his own good. God’s sovereignty shows up in uncomfortable and sometimes shocking ways. The wicked are tools in God’s hands, he uses them to bring His people back in line if necessary. God plays “the long game” in the salvation of His people. The wicked will be judged, and God’s sovereignty should comfort us.
God is sovereign over the lives of his people and in his rule of the world
1God is sovereign over all our of circumstances; 1:1-11
2The righteous respond with faith; 1:12-2:20
3The righteous respond with worship; 3:1-19
